Review: Lufthansa First Class Lounge - Munich Terminal 2

My controversial opinion is that Lufthansa has one of the best first class lounges in the world in terms of design, staff to guest ratio, quietness, quality of the dining, and amenities.
After flying Lufthansa Allegris First Class, I had a 6 hour layover in Munich to explore both first class lounges. Our plane dropped us off at a gate that was only a 2 minute walk to the First Class Lounge in Terminal 2.
The Lufthansa first class lounge is always a treat and the dining is on par with high end restaurant quality and plating.
How to Access the Lufthansa First Class Lounge
The new Lufthansa First Class Lounge is conveniently located in Terminal 2, post-security.
Lufthansa offers a super nice perk in their first class lounges: a passport control office to handle immigration with no line. Though if you are non-EU traveler, you still need to register at the kiosks for EES the first time you enter the EU, before heading into the lounge.
Once you clear security, follow the signage toward Gates G21 or H21. The lounge is located near Gate G21 on the Schengen level (Level 04) and near Gate H21 on the Non-Schengen level (Level 05).
The location is ideal for Lufthansa's primary operation here, but thanks to Terminal 2's passenger layout, it's also accessible if you are arriving or departing from the Satellite Building (Gates K and L). But give yourself plenty of time for the train ride and walk. (10-15 minutes of transportation.)
While checking in, I made sure to ask about the rubber ducky and received my first one!

Atmosphere & Design
The lounge in Terminal 2 was just renovated and reopened in May 22, 2026. It’s over 10,000 square feet of high end industrial design and reminds me of Apple/Dieter Rams.
Lufthansa was celebrating their 100th anniversary celebration, so there were 100 year signs placed throughout the lounge.
This new lounge also elements of the new Allegris first class with similar wood paneling and use of dark blue in the dining area.
It’s a huge lounge and extremely quiet. During my 2.5 hour stay in this lounge, I saw only 15 other guests.
The service was impeccable, with attendants approaching you as you walk in asking if you’d like a drink or would like to dine in the eating area.
Seating & Amenities
The lounge had multiple large seating areas with beautiful tan leather sofas, single occupancy business booths, and even a cigar lounge.

There's even a kid area in the lounge, if you happen to be flying your kid in first class.
There were a lot of sockets everywhere around the lounge, but unfortunately they were not all universal outlets.
The single occupancy business booths had lots of space to put your carry ons.
The cigar lounge had an entire selection of whiskey, spirits, and other alcoholic drinks. They even set up some nice Bang & Olufsen Beolab 8000 speakers in the lounge.
The shower and restrooms were extremely clean with a similar minimalist, but high quality design. Because there were so few travelers in the lounge, there was no wait for the showers.
The only think that this lounge lacks is a view and nap room, but you can always visit the First Class lounge in the satellite terminal for beautiful views of the planes on the runway and rooms to nap.
Food & Drinks
There’s an extensive buffet section that feels highly curated with a wide assortment of colors and cuisines.
They also had a fun antler-pretzel-tree!
There are approximately 12 to 15 dining tables in the lounge.
They had 4 a la carte menus this one including a special one for the World Cup. They also have the regular, Taste of Sea, and Fast Lane menus. The selection was quite extensive.
I had the Tom Yung Gong soup, Tom Kha Octopus, and Bavarian sausage. The Thai soup was actually spicy (and authentic)!
I have always been quite surprised at how good the Thai food is at the Lufthansa lounges and it’s always on the menu.
Their wine selection was robust. They also had a self pour wine section, however, the staff will pour the wine for you while you just pick the one you'd like.
The meal was amazing and I regret not ordering more dishes from the menu.
The Lufthansa lounge also has a variety of snacks at all the seating area tables.
