Power Lounge Central Review – Haneda Terminal 2

I spent too long trying to find the Power Lounge Central in Haneda’s Terminal 1, only to find the one located in Terminal 2 by accident. I didn’t even realize it was the wrong Power Lounge until I was writing this article. Nonetheless, thanks to my trusty Priority Pass via my Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, I was able to visit this lounge. However, I quickly realized that these collection of lounges are a bit... disappointing.

Finding The Power Lounge Central In Haneda Airport Terminal 2

The Central Power lounges are actually located before security. Meaning, as long as you have an eligible boarding pass, you should be able to access this lounge. In my case, the Power Lounge Central is located on the third floor of Terminal 2, which houses mostly restaurants and shops.

This lounge is located all the way end at one end of the terminal, so be prepared to walk.

Checking Into The Power Lounge Central In Haneda Airport Terminal 2

Checking in was much easier than expected, despite having only an arriving boarding pass. I merely gave the agent my arrival boarding pass, passport, and Priority Pass card. Among seeing the Priority Pass card, she quickly pulled out some instructions about the Priority Pass, including the fact that they would not be able to determine if I would charged or not for the stay. Nonetheless, I signed and was able to get into the lounge.

Impressions Of The Power Lounge Central In Haneda Airport Terminal 2: Uhhhh

This lounge is a bit interesting; in fact, all the Power Lounges in Haneda’s airport are a bit odd to me. They are basically slightly more exclusive sitting areas that still end up being mildly crowded.

Notably, they only have some free drinks and no free food. Furthermore, there is no free alcohol. So, I think people are really just getting to sit in a special area called “The Power Lounge.” It is a long rectangular room with lots of seating.

There is some small food items for sale, alongside a soda/water machine, and some juices.

If you keep walking down, you can find plenty more seating, featuring comfortable single person sofas with little tables and outlets for each.

There were also tables near the windows, which oversaw the various check in lines below.

There was also a phone booth next to the bathroom. The bathrooms turned out to be pretty clean overall, which was a pleasant surprise.

Yeah, that’s about it. There wasn’t a lot going for this lounge unfortunately.

My Overall Rating Of Power Lounge Central In Haneda Terminal 2: A Deserved 3/10

I rate lounges based on a few general criteria:

  • Food Quality & Variety: 1/10
  • Cleanliness: 9/10
  • Interior Design: 3/10
  • Unique Amenities: 2/10

This lounge is kept very clean and has an ok design to it, but outside of that, it is a glorified seating area. There isn’t really anything special about it and it did get very busy during my brief stay. However, if you come in expecting all of this, then I think this lounge fulfills all its expectations. It provides seating, charging, and a clean bathroom. But, if you expect food and drinks, I would expect to be very disappointed.
