Roame is simplifying credit card rewards for the average person by helping travelers like you find the best redemptions for your credit card points and airline miles. We developed a proprietary tool that lets you search for award flights across 16 airline loyalty programs in one single swoop.
Here's an article on how to use Roame.
- Availability: award flight seats might be limited. What you might be able to book via one airline program may not be available on another program. Consequently, by booking one leg trips, you have maximum flexibility to use your points across multiple programs.
- Different airlines: points can only be used to book airlines within their respective alliance. If you fly Oneworld to a destination, by booking one-way, you can fly Star Alliance or Skyteam on the way back using a different transfer partner.
- Flexibility: some award flights are fully cancellable and refundable (make sure to read the T&C for each airline!), giving you maximum flexibility if needed. In fact, one of our team members once booked and held 10 different flights home for Christmas using AA’s fully refundable miles.
Credit card points are a type of reward that credit card companies offer to encourage customers to use their credit cards for purchases. The basic idea is that for every dollar you spend using the credit card, you earn a certain number of points. The number of points you earn per dollar spent typically varies depending on the credit card used and the type of purchase.
Once you've accumulated enough points, you can redeem them for various rewards. Common redemption options include travel (either via a credit card travel portal or by transferring points), gift cards, merchandise, cash back, experiences, or charitable donations.
The value of credit card points can vary widely depending on the credit card and how you redeem the points. For example, points might be worth more when redeemed for travel compared to when redeemed for merchandise or gift cards. It’s important to spend some time understanding how points work and how to get the most value out of them.
