What to actually do with your Bilt points
Bilt points transfer 1:1 to a short but unusually good roster — World of Hyatt plus a set of airlines you can't reach from most other cards. That's the whole game. Redeem for statement credit or rent and a point is worth around half a cent. Move it to Hyatt or Alaska and it's worth 2¢, 4¢, sometimes more. The floor is low and the ceiling is high, so the exit is everything.
What your Bilt points are actually worth
A point has no fixed value — it depends entirely on the exit. Bilt's built-in options set a brutal floor: the Bilt Collection merchandise store can price a paper-towel roll at 3,000 points, and statement credit hovers near 0.55¢. Transfers are the whole reason to hold the currency. Here's the spread you're choosing between every time you redeem.
Bilt has no travel portal that boosts point value — there is no 1.25¢ or 1.5¢ "book travel" tier the way Chase and Amex offer. The only route above 1¢ is transferring to a partner, which makes partner choice the single most important decision you make.
Every redemption, best to worst
The same points, ranked by what they're worth. Start at the top and only move down when availability forces you to.
Every Bilt transfer partner
Points transfer to a compact roster — but a distinctive one. Everything moves at a clean 1:1, and Bilt is one of the only transferable currencies that reaches Alaska and American. That rarity, not the length of the list, is the edge.
Hyatt is the only hotel transfer worth making by default. Hilton and Marriott convert 1:1 but their points are worth a fraction of a Bilt point — a straight downgrade. Accor is fixed-value (~1.5¢) and only makes sense against a specific stay, ideally stacked with a Rent Day transfer bonus.
Four bookings that prove the point
Real redemptions where your Bilt points go furthest — overwater villas, lie-flat seats, and Manhattan suites. Every one of these beats paying cash by thousands of dollars.

Off-peak nights at the Park Hyatt Maldives run 35k points against cash rates north of $1,900. The single most lucrative thing you can do with Bilt.

Alaska prices JAL business to Japan at a flat 60k one-way. Bilt is one of the only ways to feed Mileage Plan without flying Alaska.

Standardized saver pricing to Europe from anywhere, and monthly Promo Rewards can knock 25% off award tickets before you even transfer.

A Manhattan Park Hyatt night for 35k points instead of $1,000+. Points earned paying your rent, going straight back into a stay near home.
The worst ways to use Bilt points
Bilt makes these effortless because they're the least valuable to you. Each hands back most of your points' worth for the sake of convenience. If you're doing any of them, stop.
The merchandise store is the single worst option — everyday goods priced at multiples of retail. A paper towel for 3,000 points is not a deal.
Wiping card charges hands back nearly half your points' value. There is no upside and no bonus tier. Never.
Using points toward rent lands around 0.7¢ (1.05¢ on Rent Day). Convenient, but a fraction of transfer value.
The most efficient non-travel exit — which is damning. Pay with the card and keep the points for a transfer instead.
All the lifestyle redemptions cluster near cash-back value. Fine only if you genuinely will not travel.
They move 1:1, but the destination points are worth far less than a Bilt point. A voluntary downgrade — skip both.
How to earn Bilt points fast
The redemptions above are only as good as the pile of points behind them. The Bilt Card 2.0 lineup is now three cards — Blue, Obsidian, and Palladium — issued by Column N.A. and serviced by Cardless. All three earn on rent and mortgage with no transaction fee; what differs is your everyday multipliers and perks.
Housing earning is no longer a flat rate. You pick one of two Bilt-exclusive bonus options that decides how you're rewarded:
Up to 1.25× points on housing automatically, scaling with your everyday spend that cycle: 0.5× at 25% of rent, 0.75× at 50%, 1× at 75%, 1.25× when everyday spend meets or beats your rent. Below 25%, you still earn 250 points.
4% back in Bilt Cash on everyday spend, on top of points. Redeem it dollar-for-dollar across Bilt, or spend $30 of Bilt Cash to unlock 1,000 points on a housing payment — up to 1× with no fee.
On Rent Day (the 1st of each month) everyday categories double, up to a 1,000-point bonus — 2× on Blue, up to 6× on Obsidian’s category, 4× on Palladium. All three carry a 10% intro APR for 12 billing cycles, no foreign transaction fees, and free credit reporting on rent. Earn rates and fees are published values; confirm current terms before applying.
