Pod Rooms

Housed inside 25 Salamanca Place, the 24sq m Pod Rooms have large picture windows that look onto the internal walls of the warehouse and its gardens. These rooms benefit from lashings of natural light, cascading from sun wells that run the length of the building. Design details include hand-made Tasmanian furniture, tactile throws, cushions, sheepskins and a colour palette that riffs on the island’s wilderness. Walls are decorated with striking photography of Tasmania by Derek Henderson. The shower-toting bathrooms feature dark-green herringbone tiles, matt-black fittings and Grown Alchemist products. Each room has a TV, iPod dock, Huon Valley apples upon arrival and a minibar with local snacks. There’s also air-conditioning, tea and coffee kit and Grown Alchemist bath products.
