Bilt March 2026 Rent Day: Up to 125% JAL transfer bonus, Chef Thomas Keller, and more
BILT to JAL 100% transfer bonus
JAL Mileage Bank transfer bonus
For the first time, Bilt is offering a transfer bonus to Japan Airlines Mileage Bank, and the size of your bonus depends on your Bilt elite status. Transfers happen at a 1:1 ratio, and here's what each tier gets on March 1:
- Blue: 25% bonus
- Silver: 50% bonus
- Gold: 75% bonus
- Platinum: 100% bonus
So if you're a Platinum member with 100,000 Bilt points, you'd walk away with 200,000 JAL miles.

Japan Airlines First Class Cabin
One new addition this Rent Day is the Bilt Cash upgrade option. Members can use $135 in Bilt Cash to temporarily 25% extra bump.
With the upgrade option, Platinum members get a 125%. Keep in mind you can only move up one tier (Blue to Silver, for example), and this is available exclusively on March 1.
Important note: if your JAL Mileage Bank account is less than 60 days old, there can be up to a 7-day hold before you can use your miles to book. So if you haven't opened a JAL account yet, now is the time to do it.
Why JAL miles matter
JAL Mileage Bank is one of the most underrated programs out there. You can use JAL miles to book JAL flights, partner airline awards, and even Emirates business class from New York to Dubai for around 80,000 miles each way. JAL also has a generous stopover policy, which makes it easy to build a complex itinerary through Japan and beyond.
Japan Airlines is part of the oneworld alliance, so partner options include American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, and Qantas. The program has its own award chart for partner flights, and there's real value in there if you know where to look.
Finding the right JAL award availability can take some digging. Roame's SkyView tool lets you scan across multiple dates and routes at once to spot open seats, which makes the process a lot faster. Head to roame.travel/skyview to start tracking before March 1.
