As the flowers bloom, Bilt is excited to bring you another thrilling Rent Day this May 1, 2024! From April 25th to May 1st, Bilt has lined up exclusive rewards and experiences to lighten the April showers.
Redeem Points Towards Rent Credit, Get 100% Back For Bilt Home Collection
Redeem your Bilt Points for a rent credit between April 25th and May 1st, and Bilt will give you 100% of those points back to be used for the Bilt Home Collection. To take advantage of this offer, you need to redeem a minimum of 1,000 points on rent or a maximum of 50,000 points on rent.
I had no idea how to actually redeem my points on rent until I followed these directions:
- Head to the Pay Rent tab in the Bilt app between 4/25 and 5/1 Select Pay with Points
- Add the amount of points you’d like to redeem towards your rent Check out to get your credit
- Credits will automatically be applied to the upcoming rent cycle.
Even if you've already paid your rent this month, you can still use your points to claim a credit for next month's rent.
Is This A Good Deal?
Eh. I'm not particularly a huge fan of this, but if you have been eyeing something in the Bilt Home Collection, this could be interesting. It's a bit difficult to assign a specific cents per point valuation here, so I'd just use your general math skills to figure this out.
Notably, when redeeming your Bilt points for rent, you do lose out on quite a bit of value. 1,000 points is only worth $5.50 when redeemed for rent credit, which sucks.
Since none of the items in the Bilt Home Collection have a price tag, it's hard to exactly determine if this is a good deal. The best way to get a quick valuation is to compare it against the retail price. For example, the Venus Et Fleur Blush Classic Set costs $179 retail, but costs 15,000 pts in the Bilt store. This means, you need to first redeem 15,000 pts for rent credit ($82.50 USD), and then you get 15,000 more "Bilt Home Collection points" you can use for the set.
So the CPP math would be $179 – $82.5 = $96.5 for 15,000 points, which... is not great. So, tread cautiously!
Bilt Private Dining Experiences
Prepare your palates for an exquisite culinary journey with Bilt. For this Rent Day, there will be some unique chef's tastings, wine pairings, and omakase experiences for Bilt members.
Book each seat for $150 or just 15,000 Bilt points for yourself and a guest (a 2 CPP valuation).
Reservations open in the Bilt app starting April 26, 2024 at different times depending on your elite status with Bilt:

What Other Bonuses Has Bilt Run?
Bilt is infamous for running large, lofty transfer bonuses allowing you to maximize the value of your points tremendously. Here are some of the other bonuses Bilt has run in past rent days:
- April 1, 2024: BOGO Fitness Classes
- March 1, 2024: March Madness
- February 1, 2024: Up to 150% transfer bonus to Air Canada Aeroplan
- January 1, 2024: Up to 150% transfer bonus to Air France/KLM Flying Blue, Virgin Atlantic, and IHG One Rewards
- November 1, 2023: Up to 150% transfer bonus to Emirates
- August 1, 2023: Up to 150% transfer bonus to Virgin Atlantic
- May 1, 2023: Up to 100% transfer bonus to Air France/KLM Flying Blue
Conclusion
This upcoming rent day is a bit of a lukewarm one that doesn't really compare to the hype we've seen with up to 150% transfer bonuses. If you can get value out of these transfer bonuses, then go for it, but I definitely urge tremendous cautions o you don't waste your points.
Should I Get The Bilt Card?
The Bilt card is an innovative game-changer in the credit card arena, particularly for renters who could never before earn rewards on their largest monthly expenditure—rent. With no annual fee and strong earning potential (cardholders must place 5 transactions per billing cycle to activate said benefits), this card is definitely worth considering in detail.
