The 18–21sq m Alfama Rooms have open views over the red-tiled roofs of the neighbourhood and the River Tagus. There’s a queen-size bed (or twins) with crisp Egyptian-cotton linen, six plump pillows and a tactile grey throw. The ensuite bathroom is sleek and chic, with polished concrete floors, a smooth infinity sink and a rainfall shower. Black-out blinds ensure a good’s night sleep. There’s also free WiFi, a flatscreen TV, air-conditioning, bathrobes, slippers, a minibar and Saboaria Portugueza toiletries.
