These charming 193sq ft rooms are in either the main house or in the Hazel or Honeysuckle cottages next to the garden. There’s a super-king-size bed (twin beds are available on request) with a heavenly Hypnos mattress and luxurious bedding by North Berwick-based Laura Thomas, and each bedroom has custom-designed wallpaper by Scottish artist Mairi Helena that reflects the palette of the East Lothian landscape. The ensuite marble-clad bathroom has a walk-in shower and handmade bath products by Siabann, a Scottish beauty brand based in the Ochil Hills. There are heated floors to keep cosy in the winter months, a TV, free WiFi, tea, Nespresso coffee and free bottled water. Some of the Deluxe Rooms can accommodate an extra bed for a charge of £50 a person, a night.
