According to Beat of Hawaii, on August 20, Alaska’s Mileage Plan will transition to Atmos Rewards. HawaiianMiles remains active until October 1, 2025.

This news comes on the heels of leaked details of the new Atmos™ Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® Credit Card by Frequent Miler. If the benefits and earnings are true, then this would be one of the few new cards that would be exciting to apply for.

What’s Changing

Elite tiers will be rebranded, but status will carry over based on a mapping that ensures no downgrade. HawaiianMiles retains its current format through late September, giving members time to adjust.

There have already been announced changes to HawaiianMiles redemption rates, which will be increasing.
The good thing is that Alaska Airlines has committed to the 1:1 transfer ratio between HawaiianMiles and Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan.
Overall
It's still too early to say how this new loyalty program will shape up, though the name "Atmos" seems a little random.
The big question will be how redemption rates and availability will be for the new program.
