Flights to Sydney (SYD)

Last updated: Sep 10, 2026

Did you mean flights from Sydney?

Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport has been in continuous operation since the 1920s, making it one of the longest continuously operating commercial airports in the world, and it is the busiest airport in Australia and Qantas's primary hub.

Right now there are 111 airports in 34 countries connected to Sydney, 44 of them domestic, with 93 airlines flying scheduled passenger traffic.

Sydney's longest nonstop connection is New York (JFK), 9,950 miles, offered by American Airlines and Qantas.

It is built on the shore of Botany Bay, so one runway extends out over the water and arriving flights come in low across the bay. On a northern approach you pass the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.
